White Clarke Group of companies (WCG) acquires Nexus Business Solutions and becomes one of the largest providers of fleet services to the motor industry

Today, WCG has signed contracts to acquire Latimer Solutions Group, the parent company of Nexus Business Solutions Plc. Nexus, which employs 220 professionals worldwide, further extends WCG’s global reach with subsidiaries in Dubai, Detroit, Shanghai, Melbourne and through consultants working in Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East.

Dara Clarke, CEO of White Clarke Group

CEO of White Clarke Group, Dara Clarke, comments: “The acquisition will make WCG one of the largest providers of fleet services to the motor industry and should open new opportunities for our software and services. Both companies support their offerings with cutting edge IT solutions, focused on the global automotive industry and the international finance community that backs it. The synergy could not be closer and I believe the potential is exceptional. Nexus’ offerings create a natural fit in terms of our expansion into the wider ‘mobility’ sector, together with the scale necessary to lead the global market.”

Peter Blease, MD of Nexus added “We have a highly regarded capability vested in our people and systems but will now enjoy the Group’s corporate strength and leadership to enable accelerated development of services and IT solutions. I am confident we can add significant value for our clients as well as for the Group of which we are now a proud member”.

Nexus has strategic partnerships with world leading manufacturers, including Toyota, Ford, General Motors and BMW.

Its operations within the automotive fleet and rental sectors include:

  • Full management programmes to promote fleet and commercial business sales in emerging markets.  This is a growing part of their business and they have recently opened their fourth subsidiary in Shanghai to facilitate this expansion.
  • Working with full maintenance leasing companies to improve and sustain their clients’ products and services through streamlined marketing and selling processes. This is achieved by having experienced Nexus managers implanted into major FML companies to act as liaison with its manufacturer clients.
  • Full facility management of short term dealer-based rental programmes on behalf of the OEMs.  This incorporates development and deployment of bespoke IT systems to facilitate the operation and management of national networks. It is a major part of the business focus in the UK and earmarked for expansion into continental Europe and North America.
  • Managed solutions to promote the sale of OEM parts through the dealer networks to independent repairers that includes full facility and marketing responsibilities using Nexus HR and IT resources.
  • Corporate strength and leadership to enable accelerated development of services and IT solutions.  I am confident we can add significant value for our clients as well as for the Group of which we are now a proud member”.

Nexus will relocate from its offices in Milton Keynes to nearby White Clarke House, the head offices of global operations, and will become integrated with White Clarke Group’s infrastructure while retaining its identity and attention to the automotive sector.
