Summary: Operating in a vendor environment, this is a broad Business Analyst role encompassing the full spectrum of responsibilities including client interactions, functional design, business process consultancy, training, testing and support. Pivotal to the success of this role is the ability to understand the client’s functional requirements and translate these into a practical, considered design that can be actioned by technical experts. Ideally, we are looking for a functional Business Analyst with knowledge and desire to understand, implement and manage the technical side of the functional design, this includes a high level understanding, or desire to learn, of database structures and API’s.

Description of the role

  • Conducting client workshops with the purpose of defining As-Is and To-Be business processes, identifying process gaps and designing a best fit solution for applicable systems
  • Able to review and analyse client requirements to determine where gaps within the system exist. Able to provide solutions which are in line with the existing system functionality
  • Able to translate business requirements into a written document which is understandable by the development and test teams
  • Liaising with development and test teams to provide sound business functionality which is aligned with the customer requirements
  • Working closely with clients to ensure smooth professional delivery of systems
Other Responsibilities
  • Investigating and resolving client issues and queries concerning business functionality
  • Transfer of business knowledge and expertise to other employees via training and internal documentation
  • Training business users
  • Configuring business processes and system settings to achieve specific business outcomes and documenting these for internal and external publication
  • Updating user and administration documentation such as user guides, release notes and Confluence pages
  • Helping to build and maintain our industry-leading product
  • The role includes an opportunity for involvement in project management, presales activities, international and local travel

Requirements of the role

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the confidence to liaise with a variety of client personnel
  • Proven track record of providing strong, client focused systems analysis to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of and involvement in the software development lifecycle
  • Experience in automotive, equipment finance or finance industries
  • Experience working on large vendor implementations (using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies)
  • Experience of software selection / implementation / configuration (new products to market)
  • Familiar with data structures and API’s
Required Language
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese.
