Summary: As a UI Developer, you will use your development and analysis skills to design, code, and unit test industry leading user interface solutions for a software product within a web based distributed architecture for the financial services markets.

Description of the role

This role may require 10% travel to client sites and White Clarke Group international offices.

  • Develop UI front-end components for a web based enterprise software product
  • Work with business analysts and technical leads on design aspects to meet technical and business requirements
  • Contribute to the definition, maintenance and adherence to development guidelines/standards and processes
  • Assist the quality assurance team with testing.
  • Assist the application support team

Requirements of the role

  • Results oriented mindset with a strong team working attitude
  • Ability to work independently using product standards and frameworks
  • Experience working in an agile team environment using scrum
  • 5+ years of experience developing web based applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Servlets/JSP, AJAX, XML/JSON, XSL
  • Experience developing client-side applications using the Angular framework is a plus
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and implementing solutions to resolve them
  • Ability to develop user interfaces in accordance with provided functional and technical programming standards
  • Experience developing Java/J2EE applications is preferred
  • Knowledge of database applications using Oracle SQL is an asset
  • Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Experience with development tools such as Eclipse IDE, SVN, Jira
  • Experience with commercial loan systems and credit decision systems preferred but not required
